Every other Sunday I share a scripture that speaks a word. Whether it is something going on with me, something going on in the world, or something that gives inspiration to all of you. The last scripture I shared was Corinthians 4:16. This week’s scripture is about purpose.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Do you ever feel like you’re just not in the place you should be in? Or do you ever feel confused about your purpose and where you’re supposed to go? I know I feel like that all of the time, always feeling behind or late. I feel like I am missing what I am supposed to be doing. For example, I have started blogging many times. Sometimes I think if I had stuck with my first blog in 2011 and remained authentic, I would be in a different place today. As a result, I feel like I am playing catch up. The thing is, I wasn’t then who I am now. Moreover, maybe God was just waiting for me to be Nikki today to be able to really connect with my audience.
This scripture stands as a a reminder that God has a place for me. I am exactly where I am supposed to be. It is good to have goals and things that you are working. What is also good is to celebrate the place you are in right now. You are doing the best you can with all of your many blessings.
I hope that this scripture can inspire contentment in you. I hope that it brings you peace in the very moment you are in. Even as you reach for the stars, you can know you are blessed. There is joy to be had in each and every day.
